Chaunticlere and Lady Pertelote, the proud rooster with the beautiful voice and his favourite hen. Two lovable characters from Geoffrey Chaucer’s Nun’s Priest’s Tale, a part of the Canterbury Tales. This lighthearted little part song, for four sopranos or a mix of sopranos and altos, with its chicken imitations and cock-a-doodle-doos, is a fun depiction of their story.
